Sicily : In the heart of the Mediterranean Art

Presentation

Sicily is the biggest island of the Mediterranean Sea. The heritage of the island increased in the course of the centuries by the various influences of the famous Mediterranean civilizations. Sicily shelters  fabulous Greek vestiges, cathedrals and Norman castles, Arabic gardens, palaces and churches in the hispanicist baroque. At final, an atypical, puzzling art, just like Sicily.

Main towns : Palermo, Syracusa, Agrigente, Messina, Catania

Surface : 25 700 sq.kms.
