Sardinia : The small continent

In the South of Corsica, Sardinia is considered as its tourist villages such as Costa Smeralda (Coast of Emerald), the Catalan city of Alghero or in the South, the sea-side village of Villasimus. But Sardinia knew also how to protect some of its wealth as the marine national park of the Maddalena or its vast oak forests inside the island. Sardinia, it is also a character, a climate, a unique archaeological heritage and a dynamic crafts.

Surface areas : 24 090 sq.kms.

Population : 1 700 000 inhabitants

Particularity : To discover Sardinia in a unusual way is possible thanks to Trenino Verde ( the small green train). Indeed, this steam railroad line, built in 19th century, was put back in service with locomotives and renewed cars. Embark aboard Trenino Verde and circulate in the most inaccessible regions of the island.
