In Indian Ocean, coconut palms, beaches of fine sand, the turquoise blue water of the lagoon and the coral reef are only a front taste of the wealth which offers the island of Reunion. Particularity : The vanilla Bourbon is an integral part of past and of the heritage of Reunion. Real symbol of the island, the introduction of the vanilla Bourbon was made in 1819 by the commander Pierre - Henri Philibert. Today, in Saint André, on the east coast of the island of Reunion, the House of the Vanilla, situated on an ancient plantation, redraws the history and the culture of this precious orchid.
