State of Greater Antilles, Haiti occupies the third Westerner of the island of Hispaniola, offshore the Caribs, the other part constitute the territory of the Dominican Republic. Port-au-Prince is the capital. Haiti is mainly constituted by steep mountains with small coastal plains and valleys. The central part and the East are constituted by a large high plateau.

Population: 8 527 817 inhabitants.

Particularity : Behind every Haitian hides a musician, as it is said. Because the music is anchored in the soul of every inhabitant. Many residents assert that they cannot live without the music. The "Compas", the music messenger, the "Twoubadou" and the rhythm root form the basic quartet of the own culture of the island.
